Piseco in the Town of Arietta is a community that stretches around its namesake lake. It boasts its own airport with a single runway and a helipad. There are three NYS Public Campgrounds on the lake, testimony to how lovely and popular the area is. The 133-mile Northville-Placid Trail runs close to the shore of Piseco Lake, using the Post Office as a landmark. The short, steep hike up Panther Mountain is worth the effort because of the expansive view of the lake. There is a town hall next to the museum, but Casey's Corner Store is the unofficial heart of the hamlet. Soon to re-open is the Piseco Lake Lodge, The Irondequoit Inn is serving up some nice meals this summer too!
