Arts, Artisans and More!
Hamilton County is a hub for museums, artisans and the arts. The Adirondack Museum has been called the "Smithsonian of the Adironndacks," with its campus of historic buildings and artifacts and a full schedule of winter and summer programs.
Live Theater
The Adirondack Lake Center for the Arts brings professional and amateur theater to towns throughout the county. The center also sponsors hands-on classes and art exhibits. The Indian Lake Theater screens opera performance films and blockbuster movies while also serving as a venue for live performances.
Artisan Crafts
Hand-crafted furniture, quilts, textiles and much more are being produced by a growing community of artisans who find inspiration and an affordable lifestyle here. Live music performances proliferate in the summer months hosted by several picturesque venues.
